Jessica Bowman, Founding Director
Jessica has over 10 years experience evaluating and designing high-impact social programs. She founded The Good Cause Co. in 2017 after it was clear there was a need to improve the quality and impact of charitable giving. She is a founding director for Social Impact Measurement Network Australia (SIMNA).
Jessica has extensive experience on how to invest to solve social problems. She has advised on the economic, social, environmental, and financial impacts of over $1 billion of public projects spanning across transport, energy and water sectors in developing countries. She has advised various governments on how partnering with the private sector can increase the efficiency and effectiveness of delivering essential public services. She also has a deep understanding of environmental economics and was heavily involved developing the United Nations Statistics Division's ecosystem accounting standards.
Jessica holds a Masters in Environmental Science and a Bachelors of Finance and Economics and has professional qualifications in financial analysis, project management, network analysis and programming. She has passed Level 1 of the Chartered Financial Analysis (CFA) exams and has completed training on The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity (TEEB): Natural Capital Approach, PRINCE2 project management, Netica network analysis and MATLAB Fundamentals.
