Why do they exist?
Anglicare Australia has a mission “to engage with all Australians to create communities of resilience, hope and justice”.
What do they do?
Anglicare Australia work across the following strategic areas:
Influencing social and economic policy: speaking out for those most disadvantaged across Australia with a strong prophetic voice that is informed by research and the practical experience of the network.
Enabling network development: enabling the potential, strength and sustainability of the members, ensuring that they have the capacity to serve the needs of all Australians with dignity, respect and care.
Developing network leadership: creating a network whose members challenge, support and lead each other in the development of social services and the people and communities with whom they work.
Connection with the church: recognising and celebrating the Anglican faith base and inspiration of the work.

Should I donate to Anglicare Australia?
We cannot verify that your donation to Anglicare Australia will be used as stated, that is, “to engage with all Australians to create communities of resilience, hope and justice.”
There is insufficient information to verify that donations are used in pursuit of the charity's mission. While we recognise that they present a suite of trustworthy attributes – their audited financial report is presented, they show generally how funds are used and they describe leadership roles, critically, we were unable to identify policies that help to prevent the misuse of funds (e.g. conflict of interest policy). This is basic information that is necessary for us to verify the trustworthiness of the charity.
Having said that, Anglicare Australia demonstrate they are likely to be effective. It is clear what they do and the benefit they deliver. They highlight their strategic goals and show the activities and results that they have delivered in the last year that demonstrate progress against those goals.
While Anglicare Australia present a range of positive attributes, until they clearly outline how they prevent the misuse of funds, we recommend that you do not donate.
