Should I donate to Movember?
We believe that it is likely your donation to The Movember Foundation will be used as stated, that is, “to have an everlasting impact on the face of men's health”.
We believe that The Movember Foundation is likely to be trustworthy. It is clear who the charity is run by and how donations are used. The Movember Foundation’s financial model is presented. They show where donations go. It is clear who is in charge. Roles are described and performance is monitored. They take steps to prevent the misuse of funds.
We believe that Movember Foundation is effective. They consistently show that they are working to deliver on their mission. They present overarching goals broken into strategic themes. They show the activities that they have delivered and results from the last financial year. Finally, they describe their approach to evaluation.
However, in order for us to have complete confidence they are using money for its intended purpose, we recommend they address the following ambiguities in their reporting:
figures reported to the ACNC do not mimic what is in the financial report
the financial performance of The Movember Foundation (parent) has not been distinguished from that of its controlled entities.
